Why Wills and Estates conversations matter
On 11 June 2026, Cathy Vo from GLG Legal Springfield will present a Wills and estate planning session designed to help seniors and retirees better understand important legal planning decisions.
Planning for the future is not always easy. For many people, conversations about Wills, estate planning, health decisions, and future care can feel overwhelming or easy to delay.
However, these decisions often become most important when life changes, health circumstances shift, or family members are required to step in and make decisions on someone’s behalf.
That is why GLG Legal Springfield is pleased to support this upcoming session, presented by Cathy Vo.
The session will provide practical guidance on some of life’s most important legal planning decisions.
What Wills and estate planning session will cover
The discussion will explore key areas of estate planning, including Wills, Enduring Power of Attorney, and Advance Health Directives.
Each of these documents plays a different role.
A Will helps set out how a person’s assets should be distributed after their passing. An Enduring Power of Attorney allows trusted people to make certain decisions if a person is no longer able to do so themselves. An Advance Health Directive can provide guidance around future health care decisions.
Together, these documents can help provide clarity, reduce uncertainty, and support families during difficult times.
Further information about Enduring Powers of Attorney is also available through the Queensland Government website.
Why planning ahead matters
Estate planning is not only about preparing legal documents. It is about making decisions early, while those decisions can still be made clearly and confidently.
Without proper planning, families may be left facing unnecessary confusion, delays, or difficult conversations at an already emotional time.
Taking the time to understand your options can help ensure your wishes are known and that the people close to you have clearer guidance if they are ever required to act on your behalf.
